Advice for diving Kata Beach - Phuket in Thailand
The best time to dive is morning when conditions tend to be calm, clear and less boating traffics. Since it's only dive-able between November to April, don't try or fall for offers to dive it during the other months. divers must be switched on when diving away from the reef, as rental jetskis driven by drunken of no-training tourists will come close to the reef at high speed.
The sandy bottoms are among the best in muck diving, as long as your Divemaster know the site and able to navigate. There are many hidden spots, which best to approach to dive with experienced dive shops so you can access them.
